White- 1999 Transam WS6
Mods finally done: LPP LT + Duals, Solid MM, LS6
After 3 days of work, I finally got LPP long tubes, LPP duals, solid motor mounts, and LS6 intake manifold(painted white) installed. Deleted EGR and AIR(emissions stuff).
Car definitely pulls A LOT harder now.
The exhaust is not too loud unless you're really on the throttle or above 2500RPM or so. The tone is very very very deep... I love it!!!
The vibrations from the motor mounts are nothing unbearable, most of the time they actually feel pretty cool unless you let the RPMs drop a lot when first taking off in 1st gear(<900rpm).

Sweeeeeeeet! Sounds strong and looks great. The neighbors must have really appreciated the open headers.

Sounds nice with everything in place. And I'll bet the seat kicks you a little more with the solid mounts.

Yea.. that's why I didn't keep it running too long with open headers... didn't want to piss off my neighbors too much, they never complain or anything and I wanna keep it that way
Good eye, they sure are!
They should, but I can't really comment on it because I did long tubes and ls6 manifold at the same time, so I got a pretty big boost in power at the same time.
Sold are amazing! They definitely do not make the car shake unbearably; the people that say that are usually the ones that don't have any first hand experience and just copy what other people say.Last edited by Aetos; 05-12-2010 at 07:11 AM.

I thought i saw them. And i have to agree with you on the mounts. I just put a poly trans mount in, and am waiting to get the rest of parts so I can do headers and poly engine mounts. I love how the drivetrain doesnt feel so disconnected anymore. Hell, its a hotrod. It SHOULD lope.

True duals really help the exhaust tone on these cars.
