which mod next?
Hey every one, i have a 2001 ws6 trans am "ram air" a4 and i just put on the borla cat back. It sounds great with the larger plate in, but im not sure which way to go. If i should keep on the exhaust and add headers, high flow cats & y-pipe. The other idea i had was to put in a cold air induction kit with a 90mm throttle body. I was thinking of using either the k&n kit or the volant kit. The car is stock except for the new borla. Any feed back would be great.
Thanks for your time and enjoy the long weekend

Since you are an A4, you should consider a stall converter at some point. A good converter and traction makes a huge difference. Exhaust mods like headers will help you make power as well.
And if you don't already have one, a lid is worth 5-7 hp at the wheels.Hammer - hammertime.us

stick with upgrading the exhaust... no question. Both will give you more power, but with the exhaust, people will KNOW IT!!!

for a A4 car, there is no better gain in performace than a stall converter.
i have a tci streetfighter stall which is considered small by todays standard and that stall took off almost .6 tenths at the track.
also the streetfighter drives almost like stock.2000 nhra edition formula

Get a torque converter first. Dont bother with the 90mm TB...I would just get the stock one ported.

Thanks for the info everyone. I think I'm going with a header,cat,y-pipe combo. Either a MAC combo system or pacesetter headers and random tech cats, but I don't know whether to go with the pacesetter y-pipe or stick with the bolra since thats my cat back?

for headers, you need a aftermarket y pipe.
