Making my own intake system?
I have been pondering the idea of making a custom intake to replace my lid for awhile now. I never really liked the way the lid always kit the hood. I work at a place where I have access to pretty much any size SS piping and welding. I was thinking of doing a split double filter system. Kind of like the corvettes and place it where the lid is now. Do you thing that there will be any downside to this? What besides the piping, filters, and radiator cover do i need?
kind of like this.

That would be cool if you could make one that is piped ali the way in front of the washer bottle. But I am not sure how tight things get in that area with the hood closed.
