I'd rather spend $700 a month on my car or whatever else I want then an apartment when all I do at home is rest/study/sleep. While not asleep/studying for college I'm at home about an hour on average a day. I get to work on cars most of the day and then spend the rest of the day with my girlfriend. I'm pretty sure I still have a life.

just think off all the things you could do with the g/f having your own place. no worries about mom or dad walking in on you or anything.

your better off putting 700 a month into a condo/house than a car. then again at your age, car was more important.
