I think HP gains across Magnaflow, Hooker and Loudmouth are about the same. For me, the choice came down to how they sound and look. Loudmouth will get you in trouble in some areas because of how loud they are. Magnaflow was too raspy sounding for my taste, and their tips stick out too far. I think they actually stick out beyond the bumper. I got the Hooker aerochamber and three-inch cat-back a couple of years ago, and have received compliments on the sound ever since then. At WOT and high RPM, the car sounds almost like an F1. And, they have a cool, mellow muscle tone at idle and during normal driving. My only complaint about the Hooker is that their tips are cheap, cheap, cheap. The exposed ends will rust. I've been considering replacing them for a while.

    In order...

    Magnaflow, Hooker, Loudmouth.

Both the Magnaflow and Hooker sound great with longtubes as well, but the Loudmouth gets WAY too raspy and just doesn't sound that mean anymore.

magnaflow...the tips on mine only come out beyond the bumper maybe an inch. just enough to see the magnaflow name on them. but it sounds awesome. specially if you got the free ram air mod, or anything else getting air through it. also it is stainless steel, and only $325 shipped.

i got the lm2 and it sounds cool but i would rather have a deeper rumble kinda tone. i dont know how my lm2 would sound with lt's but i was thinking of getting the magnaflow but i dont want to spend more money if there is no difference in sound. not trying to steal this thread or anything im just trying to get some info as well.

Loudmouth 1 here on stock manifolds...........I think it sounds great. Up around 4-5k rpms the exhaust just screams.

ls1sounds.com has many different set ups that you can listen to, and get a feel for what you like. i personally preferred the Pacesetter longtubes with ORY and LM1. everyone has their own preference.

Magnaflow here. I actually removed a Borla adjustable catback and replaced it with a Magnaflow setup. No complaints.

Ive got a flowmaster catback on my car. Sounds good at WOT but too much drone when driving normal. I think im going to try to have a shop put a magnaflow muffler in place of the flowmaster, even though the pipes arent magnaflow.

The tail pipes will also have to be custom made for the Magnaflow muffler.

With the Magnaflow muffler and stock tail pipes, they wont be centered coming out the rear.

I have a magnaflow and I like it, but I want to eventually go to a true dual setup.

Magnaflow is very nice. I had it on my old LT1 car and it sounded great. The tips did not stick out at all, they stopped at the back bumper. I got it for $305 shipped too. Check on ebay and email the people selling them to see what the best price they will do on it is.
