    !MAF: Porting the Mass-Air-Flow Housing

Has anybody tried this free mod if so was it anygood, and what do you use to polish it at that stage is it car polish or chrome polish, etc. Also do you need to cut out that black part in the middle does it make that big of difference and how do you do it if so.

Most people say that you really don't have to mess with the factory MAF unless you're making upwards of 500 horses anyways.

^ Exactly. Don't touch your MAF sensor. I would only consider porting it if I was making close to 475-RWHP, and even then I'd probably go the Speed Density route....

I polished mine also when I polished the TB. I figured the more air I could move without restriction is always a good thing. Air in...Exhaust out. You won't feel a difference but if you PP the TB, Maf, add a Lid and at a least a good catBack system you will see and feel a difference. All these small improvements are accumulative in nature and add to the total and work in concert with each other. A lot of people won't touch the Maf as it seems a bit scary taking a hack saw to it. I was a little nervous myself but nothing to it having completed it. JUST DON'T TOUCH THE WIRES.
