    Mac Catback vs. SLP LM

Does anybody have a Mac catback exhaust? I'm stuck between the SLP LM and Mac. Any thoughts.

i have the SLP LM exhaust. i like it but it's not for everyone. MAC is more known for MUSTANGS than F-bodies, however, their mid-tube headers for our cars are very nice.

go to: www.ls1sounds.com and you will be able to hear different cat-back setups. hope this helps...

Don't know much about the Mac, but I think the LM is a great deal. One of the cheapest around, mean as hell, and is all stainless. Can't beat it for ~$400.

SLP LM does sound a lot better than Mac. Is there any disadvantages with the SLP LM.

yes, the most obvious complaint that people with the LM have is that once they go from the factory manifolds to Long Tube headers and ORY that it becomes unbareable (too loud, drone, rasp, etc). that setup again, works for some (like me), but not for others...

Probably not going to use headers. I decided to go with the SLP LM. Thanks for your input.

Loudmouth is my favorite for stock manifolds/cats.

If staying with stock manifolds and cats the LM is a great choice.

LM1 has the shotgun resonator and the LM2 has the bullet muffler.

What do you mean by 'better'?

The resonator is louder than the muffler, but both will have pretty much the same flow.

I have the mac exhaust. It is very tamed almost stock like in sound. I have a vert and under acceleration it sounds good.
