    Question LT's and true duals?

I really like the sound of true duals with LT's but I need a setup that can pass emissions. I'm thinking about buying my own longtubes(pacesetter) and have a muffler shop custom fab an x-pipe kit from flowtech with cats and mufflers that I supply myself. Is this the best way to go about doing this or does anybody have a better solution? Thanks in advance

If you live in Maricopa like I do, all I've ever seen them do is the OBD-II test. I do see them do a visual under the car with a mirror on older cars, but I've never seen them do it with a newer car. Of course if your exhaust is shaking the whole building, they might take a look under the car...I'm not really sure. (Thats what worries me about doing the LTs.)

Another thing...I know the cats are "required" to be in the factory locations, so I'm not even 100% sure if you'd pass with the cats on the x-pipe. (Again, I'm not really sure.)

No prob bro, yeah i'm in maricopa too and I just had it smogged before I registered it. I know they check for codes, they sniffed it and they took a quick peak under it to look for cats, it didn't look like they were worried about stock location, just if you have em or not. Nice TA btw, its cool havin AZ members on here too

They actually put your car on the sniffer? They've never done that mine.

BTW, I think I might have seen your car before...if you've parked in the parking garage at the PV mall, like a couple of months ago or less. (I just now noticed your location said PV.) If not, theres one with the same color and same grill floating around your side of town somewhere.

yep, put it on the rollers and stuck a vacuum hose to it for a sniff.

That couldn't have been me at PV for a couple reasons. One, I've only had the car for about 2 weeks and Two, I hate malls lol. So what school do you go to over there in Glendale? I'm at Horizon

Wow, I didn't think they ever did that on any cars that were newer than 96. I hope its not something new in Maricopa that I don't about.

Did you buy the car from someone local? I saw an SS in the same color with the same grill at PV. I'm not sure about the wheels though.

Oh, and I go to O'Connor. I think I might know someone that went to Horizon...I think. Her name is Rachel but it spelled somehow dumb, like Rahal or something. I'm pretty sure she came from Horizon.
