LT1 to LS1 swap and transmission question

hi my name is joe and im new to the site. i dont have an ls1 in my car YET but hopefully whit the help of u guys i will shortly. i currently have an LT1 in my trans am and its seen better days. i want to put an LS1 with a th350 transmission. i already have the motor and transmission, th350 cross member, and the stand alone harness. many people have told me that the ls1 and the lt1 just pull and swap and others have told me that i have to change the k-member. i want to know exactly what i need before i start tearing it apart and cant drive it. i dont want it sitting in my garage for 3 months. Yes you do need a ls1 crossmember. Did you get the computer and harness for the ls1?

i do have the stock computer, is there a better aftermarket one
