LS6 Valley Cover and Catch Can

I installed a LS6 Valley Cover and I thought it had a PCV Valve incorporated, right?

Also, I installed a Catch Can. The hose from the Valley Cover goes in the side and then exits the top and goes into the intake. Correct? Here is a picture of my setup:

My reason for asking is that my motor is smoking a little and I want to eliminate culprits...

I am pretty sure you have the catch can hooked up backwards! The hose running from the pcv should go to the top and the hose going to the intake should go to the side. I have a 2000 SS and an Elite catch can and thats the way the directions had me hook up!

Well it can't be in the trunk, but it's fine where it is. Most people attach them to the head, but the extra 4-6 inches away isn't going to make a difference.

with the intergrated pcv valve....what does this do? Can the rest of the pcv hoses be eliminated? Looking into doing this ls6 valley cover swap, and was told the 04 was the best, but nobody could explain why.

Thanks. I have read a few articles on tech and corvette forums, but no definete answer. For those running it, they swear by it, and for those not running it, have no idea what it is. Just looking for the best valley cover to run, because they are both realatively the same price.
