if your cars a 2000 or older the ls6 will help. the newer ones come with the ls6. however with the cam and heads, you will get a few more HP from going with the fast lsx intake.

Your Camaro is a 2000 so you have an ls1 manifold (unless previously changed). The ls1 is rounded on the bottom and the ls6 is flat. I don't exactly know how much power you'll gain, but it flows better than the ls1, and you can aslo get rid of your EGR. I had a friend try and tell me the same thing.

the Ls6 is fine until you get heads. at that point i strongly recommend a FAST 90/90. I gained 35rwhp/10rwtq going to a FAST 90 setup OVER the Ls6 intake I had on my H/C car. im running a 224 cam. numbers in my SIG...

You will notice a difference in the upper RPM range.

The LS6 intake makes a noticable difference even on a stock car. A mild H/C setup would really see more benefits. Possibly 25HP+

it will def help but its not necessary.
you can do all of these mods without, but if you chose to do so i would keep the ls6 intake in close mind

Definitely a worthwhile mod if your car doesn't already have it.
