i went from ls6 to a 78mm fast port matched to a 85mm summit 85 mm tb, i could really feel a difference in power i would say i picked up a good 10 rwhp

Ya but what I found interesting about that comparison was they compared an LS6 intake and it's 75 mm throttle body to a fast 90/90 setup,,,not exactly apples to apples.

Would have been a better comparison if they stuck the LS6 up against the fast intake and 78 MM throttle body setup,,,,Would have been a more justified comparison,,,,,,,just my thoughts.

But,,,,,what I found even more interesting in that article, was the fact that the truck intake is a pretty stout piece on it's own,,,and even more intersesting is how the LS2 intake sucked big time,,,even with it's 90MM throttle body and all,,,,it was the biggest pig of the bunch.

Only the LS6 intake with a 75 MM throttle body and the fast 90/90 setup were better than the truck intake,,,kinda interesting.

The fast 90/90 setup doesn't really come into it's own unless you have a cam and some serious heads. Using it just as a bolt on in itself they are not really worth the money in my opinion,,,,I can think of plenty of other things to spend $1,000 on and get more than 10 HP out of a stockish motor.
To each there own I guess.

    EVERYTHING!!!

i have a small 224 cam, Patiot Stage II heads, full exhaust, and prior to my FAST90/90 i was running an Ls6 intake. my old number were 408/386, and just a simple swap from that to my ported FAST90/90 and reutne yielded me 35rwhp/10rwtq gain!!! my new numbers are in my sig...

a FAST will really wake up your car after a H/C swap...

My point exactly,,,here is a perfect example of a car with heads and camshaft mods that could really use the intake upgrade. Still alot of coin,,,,and the 2 piece design doesn't tickly my fancy,,,,but it works.

the FAST is a 3 piece design: top, middle and bottom shells...

yes, call me crazy but i do research before buying a part. i picked up my ported FAST 90/90 for $1000. the guy had it on his car in the shop, but (0) road miles on it. his build plans changed and i kindly took it off his hands, took it home, did some of my own additional porting and sanding, and then painted the top shell black to match my car...

    fast

fast intakes are expensive, but they will make more power over the ls6, you just have to ask yourself is the 5-15 HP you will get be worth the 800-1200 youll spend, i had 750 in my fast intake and TB, sold my ls6 intake and tb for 400 so i ended up having 350 in a fats intake and tb, i think i came out pretty good
