    ls6 intake or not?

I was thinking of buying this but im not sure if its worth the money on a bolt on engine. Would something like FAST 92mm be a better option. Im not sure if id notice much with the ls6.

    Heres my setup

    Pacesetter Long Tube Headers
Texas Speed 3" Catted Y Pipe
    Thunderbolt HighFlow Cats
    MagnaFlow Catback
    SLP Lid
    K&N Filter
    Prothane Motor Mounts

Dont waste you money on a FAST unless you have plans for a serious h/c or stroker.

But if you are going to stay internally stock then stay with the ls6 manifold.

Also don't get a fast 90 and keep you stock MAF. Many people THINK the stock maf is good for 500hp but it just doesn't work well with bigger tb's.

The stock maf is 74mm, so why would you use it with a 90mm tb?

Not sure if I made it clear but right now I have the LS1 intake, not the LS6. Ive been reading alot on it and it seems like a decent mod. I plan to keep the internals stock for a while.

    Thanks for all the responses.

ls6 is a nice mod over the ls1. Its not going to be night and day, but it is a gain

Its is pretty decent for the price. A used one can be bought for around $300. Bolt ons like this might not seem like a lot now, but they will show their value once you mod the engine. Your basically laying down your foundation with bolt ons.

If you can pick up a used fast it's certainly a mod worth doing. Things you have to consider is getting a larger throttle body for it. If you are considering a cam in the future I would consider it.

Because the stock one is still a 78mm.

LOL you dont HAVE to get a new TB. A stock ported once is more than enough. Doesnt make sense to spend $300 on an intake and $350 on a throttle body.

You must be talking about the ls-6 manifold. If you re-read my post I was referring to the FAST.

LOL. I'll give him a few weeks after he installs the bolt ons and I bet he will make a thread saying "Which h/c to buy". Just like every one else

With a good tune, there have been people making as much as 370 rwhp. But for the most part about 350ish (give or take a few ponies)
