LS6 manifolds off of a Corvette will not fit in an F-body car. They are designed differently. you would see more gains, both HP and TQ by going to LT's...

    hope this helps...

You will gain more from headers than you would swapping the intake manifold.

my bad, i misread. i thought Ls6 exhaust manifold, since i saw the LT's first, i thought it was a question about exhaust...

you are correct, they do make Ls6 intakes for our cars. F-bodies 01-02 came with the Ls6 manifold...

you would still see more HP/TQ gains going to LT's versus swapping the Ls1 intake to an Ls6 intake...

    again, my bad...

Go with the LT's. I think that is the best Bolt on mod for sure 20 + RWHP for $500-$1400 depending on what headers/Y-Pipe you buy. I couldn't believe how much my car was able to open up after my header install. I also have an LS6 intake I am about to install, but I don't expect more than say + 12 RWHP. If you decide to get the LS6 IM, you should do a P&P TB also. I have seen 20 RWHP on this combo and it only cost me $500 total for both. So all in all even producing the same amount of power for $500 I would do the Headers first IMO.

You can find used LS6 intakes all the time for $275-$350. I bought mine for $370 new I got my TB P&P by Bo White who is really popular on one of the other ls1 forums. Total I paid $470 for both Well see how much of a difference it makes after I install them next week.

You can usually find good deals on a manifold on these forums or ebay....but since you're in CA you'll have to keep your EGR. Slp has a ls6 manifold that is already tapped for egr but it's like $400-$450...might be able to find a used slp version also.

As far as the TB, i've had mine done by Shaner....he does good work. http://s2performance.net/

yeah if you go on ls1tech.com there's a sponsor selling stainless steel longtube headers with a stainless Y pipe for $550 shipped. think the sale is over at the end of the month. he is a great guy to deal with, his SN is black2002ws6. here's a link to the post: http://ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=749888
