Get a new OPSU while your at it as yours is probably all brittle and don't forget to get a $8.00 OPSU socket.

You should also do new KS's and KS harness while your in there.

Dont forget to get new felpro intake manifold gaskets.

A shop vac some brake cleaner and lots of rags to clean up the mess under the LT1 intake as well.

Thanks man. Ordered opsu, knock sensors, and harnesses. Where can I get the socket? And about the gaskets, they appear to be in good shape when I got the manifold. How important is this?

Just picked up fel-pro gaskets and the opsu socket at napa. Assuming I ordered all the right part numbers, I should be good to go.

    Still never got that PM

Derek, sorry I'm having Ed check into it. For some reason they are not going out & also they disappear.

Those numbers check out. Good luck and if you have any problems or questions just ask.

Any parts store should have it for about $8.00

The gaskets are cheap and very important for cylinder sealing.

They kind of crush when installed,I wouldn't use the old ones or you couuld be chasing vacuum leaks.

Take your time and be patient and be methodical so you don't forget anything.

I re-read the online how to's a few times before I did mine.

Will do. Thanks man. I went ahead and ordered a catch can too. Wanted to keep as much oil as possible out of the new intake.

Just an update, started the install this evening. Got the block trimmed, ls6 VCT on, new knock sensors, opsu (didn't break it taking the intake off!) and new knock harnesses.

Realized when I pulled the pcv that I was missing one plug on the rear of the driver side head and a cap for a vacuum off the back of the intake. Tomorrow morning the ls6 intake, and catch can will be installed.

One more thing I just notice, get some high temp tape and tape down the KS wire harness. It can get moved while placing the intake back on and get pinched between the intake and the cylinder heads. Ask me how I know.......

And most ppl break the OPSU when the reinstall the intake, so be careful with the break booster hose.

    got it all back together.

had two sets of hands in there making sure about the harnesses didnt move and we got the booster hose around the opsu without problems.

thanks for the reply, i found a plug at the hardware store, but will probably order the gm plug at some time. im a little picky.

very pleased with the elite engineering catch can, mounts fit perfectly and looks good under there. cant wait to see how much im using.
