    Its worth it
you'd probably see 15hp with the cam and LTs
If you can spare the extra change try and swing for a fast, it would be beneficial for you

Any way to get more air and/or more efficiently will help. Might shave .1 of a second, not sure, but "everything little thing helps."

Why so low of dyno numbers with what you've got? Was this on a Mustang Dyno?

    I asked because a stock LS1 is about 320.

The stall and gears probably hurt him a little on the dyno
It does seem a tad bit low with the cam.
    320 is a it optomistic for a stock a4 ls1, maybe 290

I was looking more at his ET,,,I couldn't care less about the dyno numbers.

A 12.43 for an LS1 with a 228 cam and a 3800 stall with sticky tires is off the pace unless this guy races in nose bleed territory. If this car ran with a 2500 DA or was remotely close to sea level, then 11's shouldn't be a problem.

I agree whats you mph and 60' although if your power is peaking at that rpm there might be a tune issue a 228 cam should pull longer than that was it falling off after that rpm or did it carry it well??

I don't know if they help all that much, I have one and didn't notice a huge difference personally. If you can find a used fast intake for similar money. It's a much better route to go.

I didn't see a ton of difference in my LS6 intake swap either,,,even running a mild camshaft. I gained about a tenth and 1 mph. Probably equates to about 10-15 hp which is along the lines of what most others report.

Might see more of a difference on this particular car with it's 228 camshaft,,,just can't say for sure.

I think I've read they only help in the upper RPMS, but I don't know for sure. So an average street car isn't gonna see much, if any difference. And they say they gain 10-15 after full bolt-ons and a cam as well. So if you don't have at least that, it's not worth it imo.

I have to say that I did notice a difference when I did my LS6 intake and P&P TB swap. I notice a much quicker response and by butt dyno I was feeling it more. It seem to get to top end side of the power band pretty quick. I still haven't done a dyno pull yet. I was waiting on some other stuff to get done, but now that they are finish I might as well schedule one.

Sorry it took so long to post back...
    The MPH was 108.05
    And my 60' was 1.683
That was at Bristol Dragway in East Tennessee...
I called Texas-speed and they said that the reason that it peaked so early was more than likely that the intake was not flowing enough air...
It was tuned by PCM 4 LESS in mooresville NC...
They said that this kind of set up usually made around 370RWHP and peaked at around 6500RPM...
    Thanks

And the cam specs are 228/228 588/588 112LSA

Well that mph and 60 foot coincide with the ET you ran. Just seems to me the MPH is down quite a bit for a cammed LS1.

Your 325 rwhp dyno number looks about right for the MPH you ran though. So the car is running just as the dyno numbers would indicate.

Something going on with it though, it should be much quicker than that. Could be fuel supply, but I would have thought your tuner would catch that on the dyno.

I see you still running the stock LS1 intake right? When I was doing my research I remember reading that the LS6 has about 20%-30% more air volume over the LS1 intake. So you should see better results after getting one. Now if you get a FAST, maybe even better results.

I agree while an intake will help its not the problem. A mail order tune is no way to accurately tune a custom engine. Sure its fine for a base tune but you will HIGHLY benefit from getting a dyno tune from a good tuner. When the car is on the dyno also it will show if there is anything else wrong ie, injectors, fuel pump, etc. That car should be trapping 114-115 ish and be about 370ish at the wheels maybe even a smidge higher.

Pick up these components, install and retune:

    FAST 90/90 combo
    U/D pulley
    42 lb/hr injectors

Skip the Ls6 intake. Used 90/90 combos are cheap now since the 92 & 102 FAST's are out. Your half way to a 90/90 combo just by buying the Ls6 intake. It's a joke. I know this from first hand personal experience. I went the Ls6 route, smartened up and got a 90/90 combo that really woke my car up!!! Trust me. You'll thank me later.

I agree, I think you need bigger injectors. You've gotta have those maxed out. I think I maxed mine out at 3000 RPMS. I have bolt-ons and a cam.

I sent em in and had the discharge plate changed to make em 48lb.
