I think you're talking about the LS6 heads from the LS6 motor that came in the 70 Chevelle, if I'm not mistaken...

    1. The build date is F-30-71, which read February 30th, 1971
    2. You say you've had them for 28+ years

The LS based motor didn't come out till 1997, so those are not LS-Series Heads.

Actually the engine code for the 454 that came in the ss in 1970 was called an LS6. I thought it was a mistake too but goggle it, its true!

LS6 Heads What are they worth

Well I have not had anyone come up with a number here on the forum, so I called two rebuild shops that deal in these Hi performance parts and both told me the same thing. they are worth $2500.00 and if I was to hold on to them a couple more years they would probably double in price. They are rare heads. I believe they said that only 188 cars were built with these heads back in 1971. What do you think. One of the shops was in California and the other was in Wisconsin

Lot more of those heads are around than you think. I see them go for alot less than that. 188 were built in 71, but alot more were built before that.

LS6 Heads What are they worth

Just repeating what I was told . I suppose if you were building a numbers matching car of 1971 vintage that could be the value of these heads.
