I know there are some in the vette/gto community that still live to port the ls2 over a fast..i believe the rational is cost...as they ALREADY have the ls2 and fuel set up, so they just spend 300ish for a port to get some more numbers.
Exactly Shady, and that's why I'm interested in seeing how this turns out for him.

    Like I said before......

Like Shady said and I have noted,,,,,the LS2 is heavily ported unlike your comparison of bone stock manifolds. Everyone here has already acknowledged what you are stating here with your comparisons, Xmark included, but that's not what Xmark is doing.

I know you already bought the intake, but another option lots of people forget about is the Edelbrock Proflow XT...its very tall, but has a lot higher rpm ceiling than the ls2, ls6 or Fast intakes and is aluminum with a 6" air gap under it to keep heatsoak down and it can take boost or N2o backfire. Bought mine from Summit Racing for $369
But you would need to do some cutting.

Don't you have to cut the cowl a little bit? How big of a throttle body do you need for it? I have been considering this one myself between that an the bbk ssi intake since I plan to do force induction at a later point.

I'm running a GTO, and got away with a 2" hood scoop. I've been " told" for an F-body you have to knotch the cowl and lose the passengerside wiper.

I've got a 90mm Fast tb bolted to mine

Yes Shady! I've been drooling over the Harrop for a long time. Its amazing not only the power that can be made with them, but also how streetable they can make a huge cam

Wow is it really worth the price though? Like what gains are you looking at? I am looking at doing some major motor work this kinda looked awesome. I am looking at the Harrop and wondering if it would be better than switching to a ls3 with in the next year or so. What do you guys think?

it is expensive, but for max power, wide rpm range and streetablity I don't think the Harrop can be beat
