LS1/LS6 Intake?

Am I correct in saying that any 2000-on LS1 has a LS6 intake from stock, meaning that only the 98-99 LS1's only had the LS1 intake?

98-00 ls1, 01-02 ls6 your off by a year it's pretty easy to see the egr.

can you or would it be better to put an Ls6 intake on a 99 z28? any advantages?

Yes to both, the LS6 shows pretty good gains over the LS1 intake and the cost is pretty low.

its a induction mod. Right away you would see some gains..but more then anything its a helper mod...once you get heads and cam the ls6 will really help out that set-up over the ls1...i think i remember hearing somewhere that the ls1 starts to really choke a system if it gets up to 380+

any body ever port out a ls1/ls6 manifold to except a 85mm TB? think there is enough material to do so?

i wouldnt mess with it. the biggest restriction in the induction is actually the maf..and most throttle body's claims on size are not correct besides nick williams who is actually 90mm through..instead of 75-85 diameter at the blade etc
