This is true as long as you're not throwing codes on a late model car you are usually good to go.

Kind of unrelated to my original question but to install true duals do I need any extra hangers or mounts that are not on the car already to hang it?

I believe you will need some hangers around the tunnel where the center section of the rearend is.

So I will just need hangers, no mounts? And does anyone know where I can get some 3" hangers?

Yes, they are both stainless steel headers, but the OBX are a stainless that gets a rust APPEARANCE when they have been used and are subject to high temp exhaust gasses. The LPP headers turn different shades of blue and purple when heated.

I bought the LPPs specifically for this purpose. I spent a lot of time and money prettying up my engine bay, so "rusted" headers under my hood would just kill the rest of the engine appearance wise, in my opinion.
That's weird. I bought the EBAY (OBX copies) last October for my truck, and they aren't rusty in appearance. Definitely not worried about PURTY on my work beater, but can understand it being a concern on a vehicle that wants that clean, showy underhood...Here's my 125,000 mile truck's headers:

My post was based off of Spaz's headers which are eBay headers and they were how I described. I guess they changed their material.
