i personally liked the sound of no muffler when my car was bone stock. wasn't really to terribly loud and not raspy. now its a little raspy at mid range but i deal with it because when it is idling...there is nothing like the sound of a cam through straight pipes at idle and wot.

I have a freind with a 02 ss that has a texas rumbler catback with LT headers. It sounds great. The catback was only around $250. Its basically the same thing as the LM1 only much cheaper

Right. No headers. Stock intake. Have both cats. Stock up until the cat-back SLP LM.

Im really debating weither I should do the SLP **new** long headers and a y pipe with cats.

I know about the raspiness of lossing the cats... but the bigger issue for me is just to keep the car running good. with the o2 sensors throwing a "where the hell are the cats" code!

Car will run perfectly fine without those rear O2's. Just throws a code, doesn't effect anything.

Those SLP headers are WAY too expensive for what you get.
Go Kooks if you want to drop that kinda money.
