Not what I would put on my TA.... but there is nothing wrong with FM single chamber.

I had them on my Mustang and it sounded great. For a Mustang.

your obvisouly not up to par on the single chamber design? they are one of the BEST flowing mufflers on the market and best sounding.

The bad talk about Flowmaster comes from their catback set-up for our cars.
    They don't flow well.

    The one chambers do great.
Although I still love me some Magnaflows.

How does magnaflow sound compared to flowmaster? I had flowmasters on my Z and just bought a stock Trans AM.

I've grown very fond of my excessively loud exhaust, and I don't want too much of that sound through the mufflers (I'm not going to have cutouts this time around). I was thinking glass packs...they're relatively cheap ($20-$50 depending on brand) and seem to be the loudest I can get while still maintaining back pressure on the exhaust valves (no mufflers would be the loudest)

Anyone have any suggestions for a muffler that sounds like it's not even there?
well.... you heard my car... LT headers through off road y-pipe (ory), in to LM1... if you want a little bit louder drop the resonator and straight tube with some clamps...

other than that the only way louder i can think of is to have cut outs right after the collectors on the headers...

Yeah, yours was just slightly louder than mine...I was mostly looking to eliminate the over the axle BS...my car has enough squeeks/rattles without having my exhaust banging against my body/suspension (it doesn't now, but I know it will eventually).

Single chamber flowmaster don't have flow issues. I usually hate Flowmasters, but if you wan't LOUD with good sound they are a great choice.

My 03 Mach1 has single chamber FM's on it with headers and an x pipe. Not as loud as my WS6 with a Loudmouth. The LS1 sounds deeper whereas the DOHC Mod 4.6 is crisper without the rasp. Would love to personally hear the two cars with either system.

I had the flow master single chambers on my LTs, 2.5 inch x pipe dumped before the axel and OMG it sounded like pure sex. I loved them, only problem is that they sat too low on my car and scraped. So now I have to settle with dynomax bullets, they also sound good but i loved the single chamber FM.
