im getting ready to buy and install pace setter longtubes and a y pipe. how do i go about running the o2 sensors?? because obviously im not going to be running cats? how do i eliminate them and will it run like crap if i install the stuff and drive it untill i get it tuned?? basically i need to know what to do with the o2 sensors before the tune and if it will run ok untill i get the tune?

mine ran ok for a while, like almost a month, without rear o2 sensors but now my car is starting to skip after startup, i think my car is running real rich and starting to foul out my spark plugs. so yeh, get some o2 simulators.

Yes, it will run fine. I just asked this question a little bit ago. A couple of people replied and said it will run fine. All the rear o2's do is do a check to see if the cats are working properly.

By the way, sweet car. I got the same but with silver ZR-1's. I have the chrome ZR-1's off of my 97"SS" but the I need two cause they got bent when the car got totaled.

    Exactly.

If your car is running like crap, its not the rear O2's that are causing it. Possible the primary O2's, your tune, or any number of other things, but all the rear O2's do it tell the ECU whether the "catalyst efficiency" is within the "threshhold". Nothing more, nothing less
