Long tube headers for my 02 WS6
Has anyone got dyno numbers for before and after a header swap? I have been thinking about installing a set of headers on my 02 WS6. Several people have said that since they changed the exhaust manifolds in 2000 you won't see the numbers that you would in the 98 and 99's.

Red- 2000 T/A WS6
They're probbly referring to shorty headers. The only advantage with them is your wallet will be lighter, making you run about .00000837 seconds faster at the strip. Yes, they help the early LS1s a tiny bit, and yes GM improved the stock manifolds in 2000-up models. But you'll still free up about 20-25 hp with a set of LTs and a good tuning.

I gained 29 h.p and 14TQ with FLP LT's with cats on my 02 Z28 A4. After the install I could feel the power, then the power faded, so had to get the A/F correct on a dyno. Runs great now and sound is much better. I run with cats on, hated the thumpy machine gun sound without cats. I could see another 5 h.p gain if I take the cats off, but it isn't worth it to me with the sound...plus it was so loud with them off I was a cop magnet.
