    LID Question

I've got a 2000 Trans Am with that hose that connects to the air silencers on the stock lid...if I put an aftermarket lid on the car will it plug into that lid or will I have to put a small filter on the end of the hose or something?

do you mean the hose that comes out the side of the air lid towards the drivers side?

If so just plug it. I know the SLP lid comes with the plug, others not sure.

The hose goes to the air pump, which is another thing along with the egr that can be removed. I pulled the air pump fuse till I had time to remove it.

yea, thats what im talking about. Wasnt sure where it routes to or what it does...I know the SLP 21045 lid comes with the elbow to hook it up, but i've seen a lot of people who never plug it up.

Here you go......to remove it, no need with headers or really anytime.

    Secondary Air: Diagnosing and Removal

If you still have the egr, you can remove it, plug the intake opening and when you get your frost tune, delete the error code. Best to do while installing headers

cool, thanks for the info. I had the egr code deleted because of my long tubes and no cats...I was throwing emission codes so I had all that turned off in the PCM. Since the car has been tuned, will it throw any codes if I decide to pull the pump completely out of the car? The EGR codes are turned off in my car...
