Phantom Black Metallic- 2004 GTO M6
You could go that route or go with a Volant. Either way, you should be fine. Just keep a can of MAF cleaner whenever you service your intake.

K&N has always been good for me. You'll hear about problems with them from others, but that can go with any product you use. All in all, I prefer K&N.

What i dont like about the K&N is that it lets in hot engine air.

There are threads here posted that contain actual facts and data about K&N air filters. They are junk period.. Get a paper filter or one from our sponsers for best results. A cheap paper filter flows about the same as a K&N. An oiled filter works well on a Briggs & Straton...

had the K&N but ditched it because it got dirty really quickly and sucks hot air back into the intake. Also i saw no gain from running the K&N over a LID when i dyno'd my car.

Silver/Black- 00' z28-R.I.P 00' WS6 M6
if you've got a functional ram air hood then I'd get the k&n/volant setup. if you don't just get a lid/k&n filter, other wise like nhraformula said your gonna be sucking hot air=no bueno at WOT
