i'd stick with the lid and get a nice dry kit in a few weeks. or, go k&n bc i've seen dynos where that 2-cone volant intake actually was worth less hp than the stock lid - i think k&n picks up a few ponies, comparable to a whisper lid, at least.

You can't be serious. Anyways, the Volant for the Camaro only has 1 large filter so I wouldn't sweat it with yours. I'm running the Volant and have a Volant and saw about a 10hp increase. Not really noticeable, but good for mods to come. It was easy to install and would definitely recommend it.

Go with the volant. It's nicer looking, flows great (unlike others will tell you) and I think it costs $25 bucks cheaper.

    98 Ram air T/A Ls1/T-56

I have a T/A and after alot of looking and just simple physics the volant seals to the hood creating an actual true ram air induction, keeping outside air temps pushing into your engine, not like the others coming up from under the car through ducting making numerous turns and then through the filter, The volant is the only way to go if you ask me...I will never believe the statement that the k&n or the SLP setup will make more power or that the volant will cost horsepower?

Wow, never seen or heard of that much of a difference between lids.
