    K&N Airfilter

So, i bought the K&N to replace the paper p.o.s., but it was a lot shorter in depth than the old filter. Is it supposed to be that way?

i believe its less depth b/c its less material, less restrictive.......as long as the seals meet up and you have no vaccum leaks you are good....i could be from as i have a aftermarket system in my car but thought i would give you my 2 cents...

The rubber gasket that comes with it helps it seal to the air lid depth wise. If it does not fill the hole from front to back, you may have the wrong filter for your car... pics?

With the gasket on the lid you should be fine, that looks like the one on my car. I have K&N too, they require some work to use them...
