    Just got My LPP Headers

While I was on my tour/vacation of the east coast my dad ordered the LPP LTs and Y that I had wanted for Christmas.

They shipped to my door on only a few days for $600 even.

Just opened them up and here are some pics....

Nice! Sucks that the Y-cutout is aluminized. We'll use one of my polished "304" Y-cutouts so it will match the rest of the system.

As we were discussing through PM's (my PM box is full & to lazy to empty it) I think that the Y-cutout should get welded in or bring it to the shop and we will expand it to slide over.

LPP's are the best bang for the buck headers out there.

the clamps are decent, but good enough to use forever, but nicer ones are a good purchase.

the gaskets are okay, but I would also get a little higher quality set. the kit doesnt NOT come with header bolts though. due to the 1/2" thick flange, 1-1/4" is waht I advise

Yeah Brandon, a Stainless cutout would be better anyway. Could you bring one over if you can make it out Saturday?

If it needs to be welded I can just take it to your shop at some point.

And yeah, the flange is pretty thick, not sure about half inch. Let me measure it.

    huh.......the LT1 headers I got had 1/2" thick flanges.

yes. I measures with 3 different tape measures. they are a new kind of thick!!!!

i dont have any exact pics of the flange, but I'm positive they are that thick. thats why I had to order the header bolts. noone had long enough ones

I know. I cant wait to hear what it sounds like.

Most guys who talk about obnoxious rasp have the LMI. Maybe the LMII will have a little different sound. If not then ill start considering other mufflers.

I wish they would've had these out when I bought mine a few years ago. Really nice looking headers. Is that number 4 primary crushed down a little bit or is that just the angle. I also don't care for the Y being smashed like that but it should make it better clearance wise and I wouldn't sweat it.

What picture makes the primary look crushed?

    They're all pretty much perfect.

They Y is barely flattened. Its only for clearance and im sure its gonna help a lot. Ill have to take a picture of a side view.

the number 4 on that top picture. Looking at it again though I think that's where they stamped their logo. Either way those things look awesome. The welds look great and those flanges look nice and thick. Definitely worth what you paid for them.

I'm having mine installed this week along with several other performance parts. I am having a dyno run before and after to see the gains. I will post the results
