Jet Performance Chip Questions

I have a 99 3.8 liter camaro and am looking to get some more horsepower. I will be getting a catback exhaust soon and was also thinking about getting a jet performance chip but honestly I dont really know exactly what it does or what kind of hp gains I should expect. Any info or suggestions would be apreciated.

You're better off sending your PCM to a tuner. I had JET chip on my 2k but I took it off coz I toasted it when I washed the engine bay. WATER . Anyways, I never did dynoed the car with it but did felt the difference.

Aboout how much would it cost to send it to a tuner? So you could feel a diffrence with it installed? If you had to guess how much extra hp would you think?
