    Red face intake problem

    I have installed a fast intake on my 1999 corvette,i have gained good power but now i have a wisseling sound coming from the engine i have checked all the vacuum hoses and havent found the problem please help

    might be from the larger throttle body. BUt your ear to the CAI and the TB, and see if that's it.

    When I went to an aftermarket TB, it started whistling like crazy. You get used to it though...

    The whistling is pretty common on the FAST manifold. Now a leak is something else but from my experience with a few of these they do tend to hiss. I believe it is due to the intake speed has been improved and the air moving across the inner ribs is causing the sound. Or I could be complete wrong.

    yea, seems like the increased air flow is creating this noise, if it gets worse, or you suffer MPG ,performance or vacum device defficiencys i'd say you have a vacum leak

    nothing to worry about very common...i heard on two guys garage that a throttle body spacer will eliminate it ...i dont see how it would. but yea dont worry..thats all that nice cold air going in
