I bought a new weiland ls6 intake and put it on 3000 miles ago. It was a nightmare. After installing it 4 times over and over again, i took it to my mechanic and we realized that it was made wrong. We had to shave down the right side of the intake where it sits on the head. Now it is flush and works almost 700 bucks later. I'm not saying its gonna happen to you but be weary of it.

i can attest that once you go H/C you need to go from an Ls6 to a FAST 90/90...

    i can personally speak from experience. i was H/C w/an Ls6 intake and when i swapped to a FAST 90/90 i gained 35rwhp/10rwtq OVER the Ls6 intake...

how radical would you say? trying to decide between the two. If i go with the 228 112lsa cam would i be better off getting the fast or the ls6

that why in my inital post i covered that going the Ls6 route would suit him fine for now and if later he wanted to go FAST, he could get money back out of the Ls6 he'd have to fund the FAST...

to vague a question. what other mads do you have, what are your goals for your car...? you cant just say, oh i have "X" size cam to i need "X" size intake. all the parts need to work together. a 228 is not a radical cam. however im running a little 224...

if going h/c route you might as well go 90/90...so that you will be covered with any upgrades ect. but for me..my plans are to first get a fully built suspension, then transmission work..stall,shift kit ect. headers and exhaust..and then start to prepp for cam ...then eventually once my car is no longer my dd...i will go with a radical cam and heads ...then i will upgrading to fast...but i plan on getting a ls6 after my suspension work/in between..along with exhaust

if it fits the goal(s) you have set for your car...

i wanted a street car that few could match. i dont care about track times. however after i installed the Ls6 intake on my car, it felt flat. so i decided then to go FAST. i did and it really woke my car up. it made a huge difference, and with the little i have invested in my car, i have built a stong street car. now i just need the 12 bolt and 4.10's and im done...

yep that's basically what I want out of my car.. I've never been to the track and I don't really plan on it too much.

I am very curious?

    Heads- 30 to 35hp
    Cam- 30 to 60 hp
    Intake - 10 to 20 hp
worse case 100 hp best case 155 hp...
