    intake manifold

i have a 99 ws6 and i know that the 99 and 00 ws6's didnt have the ls6 intake manifold and i was wondering if it is worth the money to upgrade to a ls6 manifold. and also how much power would i gain from the ls6 to the stock one.

Its worth it. It adds 12-15 RWHP over the LS1 intake, plus it gets rid of all the EGR/AIR clutter.

I liked the difference when I added an ls6 intake and ported TB. You can actually hear more air get sucked through it compared to stock. If you plan on modding your car some more I would go for it.

x2. If you plan on more mods, especially H/C, you will need to upgrade your intake manifold. If you can afford it, do the FAST. You will yield better numbers mod for mod.

Is there much difference in porting my stock tb or buying one? And would i have to replace my MAF if i did either?

the FAST intake is better and yes if you plan on H/C the car than the FAST 92/92 will net yo atleast 25 over LS6. but if you are not going to HC than FAST is a waste of money. it flows too much for stock motors. and don't waste your money on a 78mm FAST.

Yeah, it is the best bang for the buck. If your doing serious mods then a FAST is the best way to go. You, however, do have to fork out around 1200 for the intake and TB. For a cam that spins over 6500 you will need one. The LS6 intake will start to fall flat after 6300 rpms.

Hey, Rapter. Were you out cruising in Madison the Friday night of the Power Tour down there? I think I saw your car out.
