    Intake Man. & TB help

I am ready to buy a new TB and intake manifold within the next week.....i really like the look of the BBK 85mm TB matched with their manifold. Has anybody dealt with these and seen good results or should i get a FAST 90 or 92mm? I also like the price of the BBK as well any info would be great

If you have the money.... you cant go wrong with a FAST 92/90. Lately around here... there have been quite afew nut swingers off BBK. I personally have never seen side by side comparison of the two, but if you have the extra money.... nothing on the market right now beats the FAST intake.

Also, you being an 2002 you already have an LS6. Thats a good inatke also. Depending on your mods, I suggest not buying either unless you have extra money or head/cam full exhuast.

well ive heard that the FAST doesnt hold up as good as the BBK...? i really dont know much about that stuff but i dont have many mods, just LT headers ORY stock muffler and sn SLP lid. If anything i would like to get a new TB....ive got alittle money to spend but that FAST just doesnt seem worth the almost 1000 price tag it has for them

with your mods... it isnt even worth it to buy a BBK, let alone a FAST. Put the money towards something else. You already have a LS6 intake. Which is a good intake. A TB is going to net you nothing HP wise. Things noit to do...

    1. Dont pay for a port and polish on your MAF'
    2. Dont buy a new MAF
    3. Dont DE-screen your MAF
    4. Dont buy just a TB.

    Things to do....

    1. BUY A CONVERTER!!!.

By far, they best mod you can do. Match one now with a cam (just a rough guess on cam).

A converter will make your car 100% different, start looking around now. Its what you need and want.

And the FAST holds up fine. Unless maybe if your running a huge shot of N20( NOSSSS) or a good amount of boost.

Then you pay for burst panels.

No havent checked into that K&N but do you think the BBK or the FAST is a better improvment over the ls6 intake or what?

I think the FAST is better, but like stated above there is no reason to spend that kind of money on an intake when you dont really have the "supporting" mods. If you had a H/C package then it would be worth it. A stall would be a great upgrade, and you would notice a big difference. one last thing on the FAST vs BBK war, If the BBK's really were better and they are cheaper, why dont more people on here run them? no one has been able to anwser that yet. FAST has more than just a good PR guy to stand behind.
