Better off with an LS6, especially if it is a street driven regularly car.

just save up money for a FAST. you really only need a FAST once you go heads/cam...

since we dont know what your goals are, just save your $$$$, or get a good suspension under your car for starters...

You could always have TPIS modify your existing LS-6 intake with a 90mm for a few hundred bucks
It will only be a few hp shy of the Fast 90 but alot more than the stock LS-6 in certain applications but cost 100's less..

Who is TPIS? Cause i would like to give them a call and talk about this swap. And see what the costs are and what are the benefits and the setup.

Seeing that you have a 99 car unless you have a LS-6 Intake the gains wouldnt be as great..
But if you have an LS-6 Intake the gains are pretty close to a Fast 90 without spending all of the money..
I have been using it on my car for the last 1 1/2 Yrs

    The Benefits
LS-6 vs TPIS vs Weiand vs Fast 90 ect..

I have a 408 stroker with a LS6 85 mm throttle body from summit that bolted up direct fit... And I would love to move that up to a 90mm...

Cool I have a 408 stroker almost finished just waiting on cylinder heads, Intake and some tri-y headers for it..

If you are on a budget the TPIS Modified LS-6 Intake would definitely get you some gains compared to what you have now..
All they do is cut the stock snout off of the LS-6 Intake then attach a 90MM opening snout to it for use with their 90mm throttle body..
But for a 408 I would go with the Fast 90..

In the October Issue of Hot Rod magazine htey did a write up on 6.0 iron block and intake manifolds and the fast 90 compared to the stock LS6 intake was only a 6.8 rwhp differance. So since I have an LS6 intake, I dont really want to pay $900 to $1200 dollars for the new setup...

LMAO!!! Don't sell yourself short. I have H&C, and just by changing from a stock LS6 manifold and TB to a tricked out FAST 90 w/ 90mm Nick Williams TB, 42 LB injectors, and going back to a stock MAF from that POS 85mm Granitelli I picked up 51.03 RWHP and 27.39 RWTQ. And I can tell a huge difference. I only thought I had traction issues before...

How much did all that cost you? the whole point I was saying is that I didn't want to have to spend $$$ on a intake (fast 90)when I have no idea of what your engine is, and If I am going to buy an intake system I am not going to run fast, I have a 408 stroker engine that is 11.1 compression and I am going to get a sheetmetal intake system through spectrum 5 racing or through john beck and then i will laugh at the fast 90, twice the air flow and at 530 rwhp I dont feel to bad with my setup expesially if my intake is so bad. there is no point buying th fast for me when it would still limit me...
