    Intake

I found an LS6 intake from some1 online. It came off an 04 GTO but it will still fit my 98 T/A right? I asked him if he had the blockoff plate for the EGR and he said he didnt. He said his egr was in the back??? What does that men, doesnt the EGR hose come from the front (top) of the intake? Any1 know where i can buy the blockoff plates?

I've seen posts where it is supposed to fit, you can double check by the part number. After removing your EGR the only block off plate you'll need is for the passenger side header.

there shouldnt be any provisions on his intake for the 04 gto. hes probably thinking of the map sensor in the back. 01 and newer did not come equipped with egrs. it will fit with no problems as long as you follow the stuff on ls1howto.

if you want to keep your stock coolant line then you need to grind the ribs a little. you can put block offs on the back with an ls6 line on the front, or you could put an ls6 line on the front and back. i would change the gaskets, dont want to chance an air leak. someone should have an egr block off plate.

Speed Inc sells block off plates for a few dollars. Non issue. The intake gaskets on an 04 should be fine. No need to change.
