    installing intake

Iím just installing my stock ls6 intake back on the car, but Iím having a problem finding a torque wrench that will go to the stock torque ratings of the intake bolts. Everything seems to start at like 15-20ft-lbs at the stores.

Is it really necessary to have the torque wrench or could I just tighten the bolts lightly by feel?

Well, actually found one at my work. Didn’t think we had one.

Next question: does the brake booster hose go in front of the oil sensor or behind it? I think it’s the oil sensor anyway, the sensor that sticking straight up right behind where the intake would be. Looks like it goes in front of it but I can just see myself snapping it off.

I don't think it matters, but I put mine back in front because it was behind the oil pressure sensor b4, and when I took the intake off it broke the sensor! Havin fun getting your hands ripped up by those spikes on the weather stripping on the cowl?

Ahaha, yes I am. I was thinking that was GM's way of torturing whoever has to work behind the intake lol.

Haha, yea it's a pretty dumbass design...they oughta make engineers work on the shit they design before it can go into production

I think you're the only person that has ever taken off their intake and not broken off the oil pressure sensor!

Ah yea, I probably would have honestly if I didn't take the brake booster hose off at the booster and just yank the whole hose out with the intake.
