a second person and few beers will make it go good and quick

Took me 5-6 hours, and I was able to use the lift at our shop. Taking everything off, putting on the Hookers and ORY, adjusting the fit of the ORY and cleaning up.

Took me 6hrs with a helper and a garage with a lift. I took my time to make sure everything was right the first time. That is about 30 min. cleanup on borrowed lift/garage. I was not a big fan of cutting and adding wire to the o2 sensors, so I ordered the good ones from Frost. I did plugs and wires at the same time.

Mine took about 12 we were goofing around and drinking too much beer. Well spaz definitely was.

Serisouly though it only took us about 5 hours of real work on a lift. I did plugs and wires and we had an issue with the Y being the same size as the I pipe. That added on some time too.

You mean after the header install? Well I did for sure, I still have no tune, before at the 1/4 I was in the 105.x MPH range, after install I am always 106.x, on cool autumn night I was over 109 all night, with a high that night of 109.89. That was also the cars' personal best, a 12.89. 2.04 (I think) 60 ft.

Even better, highway gas MPG went up 1.5. Wonder how much more I could get with a tune, and then an LS6 intake. Or vice versa.

I'm excited about getting my headers on. Just don't know what to expect... Is it gonna feel faster? Will I only see it on my time sheet at the strip?

It will feel faster.............and a lot louder. Make sure you fire it up open headers, let it warm up a couple minutes, then rev it good to about a 5k burst a couple times. That will get your blood flowing!

Also, if your are feeling really brave, go drive it open headers. Make sure the rest of the exhaust is up or off, but do drive it to piss off the locals. (and it will piss them off, try to make sure you drive next to a Prius).

will it run right if you get the wires and stuff without a tune? like it wont bog down.

    +1

It felt like a completely different car, no exaggeration.

You already have an LS6 intake (stock) so you should realize the same gains. Car has more power and torque all over the RPM range.
