Install time

How long does it take to install a set of Kooks long tube with y-pipe on a 02 SS? Or any long tube for that matter?

Anywhere from 4 hours to a weekend.
A shop will probably take around 5 hours for install. But they also have a lift.

thats what I was thinking. I asked a local muffler shop what they would charge me to install and he said $250.00 and I asked it he had dont this before. He answered no but shouldn't be too hard. The price is great but I have a feeling he is going to jack the price up once he figures how long this is going to take.

Yeah, $250 isn't bad at all, that is, if he sticks with that price.
I was quoted $500 for mine, so I did it myself.

Well his price is not too unreasonable if your having to pay someone. That is about $60 dollars an hour and that is normally the going rate. If he can do it in 4 hours. It took me about 4-5 hours when I done mine.
