I finally did the Throttle Body Bypass mod

I finally did this after having my car 2 years lol. Question: do I need to put rubber caps where the hoses used to be ?

It shouldn't matter if you leave them off. They just go to eachother and nothing else.

It could but they don't go anywhere so nothing will happen. It's really just preference.

Some people are afraid without the hot coolant going to the throttle body that the throttle plate could get stuck by freezing. I have never actually heard of this happening, just people saying it could happen.

Bullshit, I've never had a problem, and I only drive my car once a week, if that. And it sits outside in the winter...I know, I want to cry.

I've had my throttle start to freeze up at about -20ish several times. That's without this done. I want to do the mod with a valve to flip back for cold weather use.

Must be a 3 way valve though otherwise coolant won't go back into the block...but I'm sure you knew that lol.

I guess that's good info to have out there seeing some people wouldn't think about it.

Screw the valves. It takes 10 seconds to hook it back up with the factory hose clamps

That's doesn't have the same coolness of being able to re-direct the flow while the car is running though.
