HP. Gains with Shorty Headers

Do any of you guys have actuall dyno numbers showing gains from shorty headers? or personal input on the gains Thanks

I don't have any numbers nor own a set, but there will be nay sayers that say shorties are not worth it. Personally in terms of ease of install and not needing to rebuild your entire exhaust i think they are. LTs are great for top end and drag racing if thats what you are doing, but for a street car that cruises the highway, I am partial to shorties.

Gains I would guess would be 5 to 10 conservativly over stock.

I was also thinking about the WEIGHT reduction. The stock cast manifolds are HEAVY and I think a set of eldelbrock or what ever would cut 20-25 lds of the front end (which would be good)

With shorties your not gonna see much. For the same amount of money, why not go with a set of mid-length headers. They'll net you a higher gain and there emissions-legal to.

I have a set of tri flow shorty headers. they perform great. with the following mods.
tri flow shorty headers. tri flo cat back, twin flow air intake, and a tts tune i made 330hp to the tires.. close to a 40 hp gain over stock. I was quite happy. I'm now running a 408 motor and i want a set of long tubes as i'm setting the car up for the track. so if you are interested i will cut you a deal on my shortys and a polished holley intake manifold
