    How should I spend it?

OK, I've got about 2000-2500 or so to spend on parts/labor for my camaro. Its bone stock right now. Anything that can be reasonably done in a weekend I'd probably do myself/with help from mechanic/gearhead friends. So that means no cam/head swaps unless you could the labor as part of the cost.

I'm definitely doing exhaust, so lets figure about 1000 there. That means I've got about 1000-1500 to go toward other stuff.

    Suggestions, and price estimates?

LS6 intake $300-350, do the labor yourself, should be a 2 hour job roughly.

    SFCs $150, $50-100 labor

Lower control arms, $100, do the labor yourself.

Lid $100, do the labor yourself, 10 minute job.

If you are an automatic tranny, look into a stall convertor(3500 range), shift kit and tranny cooler. $500 stall, $100 shift kit, $50 cooler. Get a couple of buddies, do it yourself.

Those mods along with the exhaust would put you in the 330-340 RWHP range and a mid 12 second car. If you are a manual tranny, forget the stall/shift kit/cooler and save the the remainder of the money for a 12 bolt.

Why do you suggest going right for a bigger rear? I mean, I know nobody's stock rear is fantastic, but isn't that some overkill? Also, what is the labor on the SFC, they're a weld in, no? I've got access to a welder, and someone who works in a metal shop for free, so I think I can get the welding in taken care of.

Our stock rear's are pretty much garbage. They deside to self destruct under stock Hp let alone More. Some rear ends hold together for a while although some just give up right away.
Like Y2k said, SFC's are a good investment and keep the body straight. I would personaly reccomend the weld in. If you have access to a welder then you can save about 100 bucks on the instail. Thats the going rate these days.
