How much hp & tq gain?
I have a 2000 TA M6 mostly stock with just exaust and CAI. My next mods include long tube headers (proally coated pacesetters) with ORY and also a tune. I was wondering what I can expect from those mods? I know it depends on tune but a general idea would be great.
Thanks,
Ryan

5 HP form LTs ORY and a tune? Are you serious. I hope you read the thread and thought I was talking about cold air and exhaust.

I've read many guys report a TUNED gain of ~25+ rwhp.

I would say, prolly a few more than 00z28bubba. being a M6 and all. And I would imagine since you got CAI then you have lid and bellows. And stick with the stock maf ;-).

I'd say you can expect to get about 20-25hp...

you gained so much from tuning because that MAF you added ruined your previous calibration. All that you didn't really "get", most of it you "got back".
For boltons cars total HP always depends on how strong it was before the mods. There are more "factory freaks" that dyno high in 02 than seemingly any other year. Boltons tuning (with stock MAF) usually gains 10-18rwhp on average. If you have an aftermarket MAF all bets are off the table until a baseline is seen or the AFR at WOT is known.
Those MAFs should all come with a notice that they require tuning to work properly, but then no one would buy them, which is probably how it should be.

I've got one more ? for you guys. It seems almost all of you run LTs with an ORY, I know you can tune out the code it will through and pass OBDII, but how do you guys get it inspected. I thought inspection stations always looked under your car.

In NC they do look for Cats. I recommend a catted Y to pass inspection unless you have a 'friend' that does inspections.

My A4 has a lid and custom ram air, smooth bellows K&N filter and stock MAF, runs strong, I am going to put a 3inch cat back with a flowmaster muffler, how much do you think it will gain, my guess is 5 hp. I would eventually swap it out with a better muffler though.
