How about this intake manifold?
I read a lot about the ls6 manifold and the fast manifolds, but havent read anything on this manifold from bbk for our fbodies. it looks like it could make some good power. what do you guys think???
1997-04 GM LS-1 SSI-SERIES INTAKE MANIFOLD
• Adds 12-25 horsepower over the factory manifold
• Standard 85mm throttle body opening
• Flows approximately 15% better than Z06 manifold
• Made from lightweight 356 aluminum
• Factory style o-ring gasket design
• Standard titanium powder coat finish

The one thing that the manifold has against it is heat absorbtion. The LS6 and LSX intakes are a polymer material that doesn't absorb heat as fast as metal. At low temps I don't doubt this intake manifold flows great. Once the car is at temperature, I don't think you'd see as much gains as the LSX or maybe even the LS6.
Cooler air = More horsepower
Just my 2 cents.

i think the metal finish would be easier to port...only a guess

That aluminum intake manifold will absorb a great deal of heat and transfer a good portion of that heat to the intake air charge. The "plastic" ones (stock intake is composed primarily of nylon) absorb/transfer very little heat.
Personally, I would steer away from companies that cater to the 'Stanks.

FAST manifold can be ported and I believe can be adapted for high rev or low rev applications. That is you can choose where to make most of your power. I think this might only be the choice of 78mm or 90mm throttle bodies but I am not sure.
I think it is the best option so far for N/A cars but the LS6 is not too bad itself and I have heard that there may not be enough difference between the two to make the cost worthwhile. If I had the choice between the two for my car I would take the FAST though.
