i have a 35th Anniversary SS and i have the Hooker Super Comp headers and y pipe installed at a good shop. Me and a buddy tried to remove the stock manifolds one night and we stopped soon after because it was prety dam hard. It took the mechanic nearly 10 hours to remove and reinstall all parts. I got them installed in october and with the setup i have...the car is fu***ng loud. I have the cermaic headers with the y pipe and SLP LOUDMOUTH I, no cats. Car drones roughly at 2500rpm and on when accelerating. I spent 400 on labor for install but it was worth it. I can feel the difference. All i need to do now is get the tires to secure the power.

I spent about $685 on headers and $160 on Y-Pipe at Speed Inc. Install ran me $400 so i spent roughly $1250 total. The super comp headers are a good buy but they are very pricey. At least you know you have quality though.

I have the coated Hookers on my 2000 Z28. I am currently running a 470rwhp 383 and previously ran a 436rwhp H/C set-up...both with these headers. They are holding up well and the install was pretty painless...

Maybe at the crank, if you are lucky.
