    Cool which heads would be the best for a camed ls1

    Would going to a set of ls2 or ls6 heads be good or would u go with a after market set don't want to s_end more than $1400 dollers on the head less would be better. I can get ls2 heads for $650 would it be worth it or sould I buy anther set? Thanks steve

    Texas Speeds PRC heads are the best budget heads out there right now. LS6 or 5.3s, call them and they can steer you in the right direction.

    I'm running TSP PRC 5.3 heads milled to 59cc with my TR224 cam, car made 414 and 397 with full bolt ons. Got em for under $1200 on sale last yr

    I'd don't think those heads have any milling done. OP make sure you keep an eye on your compression ratio.

    You might wanna take a look at total egine airflow . Let em know what cam your runniing and they even take cores.my buddy put some on his 99 t/a . He was running 11.3's . But one night we went and on his first pass bye bye tranny bye bye diff. :d good luck

    if i was to do it all over i would not have picked my darts... or even AFR's
    i would have just got a set of l76 or ls3 and swaped out for intake to work with them. just have to have the hell milled off of them

    My heads were milled to match up with my TR224 cam
