pacesetter makes good longtube headers. make sure you get coated headers at least. they are a pretty good price too.

Pacesetter headers are probably the best bang for the buck headers.

Not sure if they are a sponsor here but texas-speed.com has some good deals on pacesetters. $375 I believe for coated.

From what I know...they are about the same.
Not sure if the coatings are different though. Or overall fit.

From what I remember, jet hots have a slightly better coating. It seems like the coating on pacesetters start to chip away after a year or two but its not very noticeable. Keep in mind just about every header will be within 5hp of each other..it really depends on the car. I'm not sure how the fitment is with jets but my pacesetters fit perfect.

Not to hijack but what is about the average gain from headers? 15 or so?

Noise as in how loud the system will be or rasp? I suppose if two cars were running open headers with the different headers they would sound really similar. The y-pipe and catback is what makes the different sounds. Same goes with rasp and whatnot. It all depends on the y-pipe and CB. For example...LTs with a catted y-pipe and GMMG exhaust will sound throaty with little rasp compared to LTs with an ory and loudmouth.

Did that help at all? Im still a bit confused.

no that helped a lot, currtently I have LM on right now and I am plannin on going with jet hot lt's and gmmg, but not sure yet on if I should go with catted Y or ory. But now im thinkin catted Y.
I do not want rasp but I want it to be as loud as possible, I plan to put on cuttouts to control it.

ps. what (if any) is the advantage to ory instead of catted y

ORY will flow a tad bit better and be louder. If you want little rasp get a catted y-pipe. Like you said, you're getting cutouts anyway so it doesnt much matter.

Catted or not, lts with GMMG will sound pretty damn nice.
