Kooks headers with y pipe on order should be here next week.
? I went with the off road pipe no cats. Did I make the right call all or should I have got the headers with emissions and the y-pipe with cats. Dyno man said he would program edit with tune.?
My state does not have inspection or testing but that could change you never know. Can I make my headers street legal if my state starts testing.
I know I can get a y-pipe with cats. Also on order LS6 intake.

You made the right choice IMO. Especially since you dont worry about emissions.

Its always possible to make it emissions friendly if you needed to but a lot would depend how strict they become. If its just a sniffer test a catted y-pipe "should" work. If its a visual, sniffer, etc etc chances are you might fail.

I wouldn't worry about it until you have to worry about it though. Just mt $.02

I was going to get headers with fittings and cap them off but my dyno man said don't they only get in the way and the fittings brake of after time. He also said it makes spark plug change easy. And more hp with out cats ?

I just got my kooks in Monday afternoon. Waited over a month for my size to come into production again. You may be waiting longer than you think and may want to call them directly to make sure before you make plans like I did only to have no headers.

    They sure are photogenic!!!

You made the right choice, it makes installation and later maintaince easier and if you are getting a tune then you have no worries and more power gains.
