Thanks man, I'm ready for the summer now, as you can see, still got lots of snow. Your car looks nasty, I got a long ways to go before I could ever keep up with something like that. I've definitely narrowed it down. Sounds like everyone thinks if I got with Kooks, QTPS, or pacesetters LTH I should be alright. Just need to be careful around town.

I have mac mids. I picked up about 12-15hp with them, they are a good header but if i were you id go LTs. My car came with the mids and when i get the chance ill be picking up a pair Kooks. You have enough clearance, a good shop can really tuck them up.

i have an lt1 but my pacesetters didn't compromise any clearance at all. i got them with ory and the y pipe is the only thing that even looked at my ground clearance. lol.

I'm thinking ORY probably will be my biggest problem at this point. Life is tough huh, all these hard decisions.

Hi. I just bought 98 Z28 M6 car. Mine has been repainted and it looks like you color. I believe that mine was an attempt at a factory color, not sure. It looks purple then blue (kinda gay for my taste) but yours is rockin! Whats the factory color or code on yours? I want that same look.

run kooks or qtps..it is worth noting that if you DD your car or put a lot of miles go SS..pacesetter's ory sucks...talk to texas speed and i bet you would be really pleased.

stainless steel. just to let you know on headers..non ss..the paint coating on them is on there just to prevent rust during storage and shipping..and the paint will burn off shortly after the install.. leaving bare metal that will rust and corrode fast...so make sure you get SS or coated...just so ya know man. many people go with pacesetters because they are cheap..but between 3-6 years they will need to be replaced or recoated ..so if you can muster a few more bucks get SS..n the long run it will save you money.

I have DynoMax LT's, which fit the same as Hooker. With the Sportline, the collectors hit everything. I've since switched to the ProKit and have had no clearance issues, even on NW Ohio, SE Michigan roads. Ceramic headers will rust also..you can clean it up with some steel wool but if you want 0 rust go stainless.

First of all, I have Hooker LTs and my car is lowered on Sportlines. You have to be careful, but it isn't ridiculous. Driveway approaches and speed-bumps are the major culprits.

Secondly, the MACs are a great header for a street/bolt-on car. They were easy to install and made good power (MACs w/cats and LS6 intake gave me 30rwhp). They tuck up nicely too! Just don't use the MAC cats...

Man I guess I am the new kid, when do I lose this junior member stuff. Anyways, just so everyone knows I think I am going to order Kooks with a Y and cats this week. Theyre the only company who got back to me and gave me some info, and I've heard good things about them. Power gains should be good also, just wish I didnt need cats here. Anyone feels different definitely let me know.
