Adding headers should increase your gas mileage, since they more effectively remove the exhaust gases from your engine. Hence, your engine doesn't have to work as hard to expel the exhaust from your car, which is why you get an increase in hp from adding headers...less restriction=more hp/tq & improved gas mileage...

I'm gettin shitty mpg, but I'm also getting on it a little more and I'm untuned, but I would have to say it depends on how often you stand on it.

Oh definitely...it's easier to get worse mpg when you've added more power to the car & tend to step on it all the time!

i gained a good MPG boost after headers and ORY, but now i'm finding out that headers are making my car run lean which isnt the best thing

stock 04 a4 gto got 16 miles per gallon. now with pacesetter Lt's, 3" true duals, p&p tb,slp maf, cai, tune, some weight reduction, and a few other things I can't think of at the moment I've got a lot more power and averaging 22.5 miles per gallon... til I get on it

Get that beast dyno tuned buddy, u won't regret it....It will make a big difference in ur performance and it should get u better gas mpg....My buddy has an SS that he bought last fall with headers, the previous owner never got it dyno tuned, he took me for a drive in it and I wasn't very impressed.....He got it dyno tuned this spring, world of a difference, it runs like a raped date now!

There was no noticeable change in mileage when I swapped in my long tubes.
